It has been several weeks now since I posted a new Daily Word for your spiritual nourishment. I apologize. While God has been faithful to nourish me daily there has not been much extra to share.

Five weeks ago my wife had major surgery and her aftercare was complicated by a staph infection. Her care has been my primary concern and has been a bigger drain on both of us than we ever anticipated.

Today’s word: watch out for life’s interruptions. They can exhaust you and drain you dry. I am reminded of why Psalm 46:1 is one of my favorites: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Read the entire 46th Psalm and thank God for His faithfulness during life’s interruptions.
